Vortex Offers Popular Web Technology Training

SAN DIEGO, CA May 22, 2001 - Vortex Data Systems, San Diego's premier technical education center, has introduced training for three of the most popular web development tools in use today, Macromedia's Flash 5, DreamWeaver and Fireworks 4. These software programs were created to help Web designers, programmers and rich media developers meet the demand to create exciting, engaging and sophisticated web experiences for the increasingly competitive world of e-Commerce.

Vortex is offering 2-day classes in each of these Macromedia programs which, when deployed together, provide a total web development solution. The classes are $650 each for both days. Here is a brief overview of what students will learn:

• Flash 5: This course instructs students on how to use Macromedia Flash to develop Flash movies and interactive Web applications. 
• DreamWeaver: Students will become familiar with the Dreamweaver environment, and create a Web page by typing and formatting text, importing graphics, adding links, building tables, using frames, and uploading files to a remote server.
• Fireworks 4: This course introduces students to the basics of producing web graphics with Macromedia Fireworks. You will create and optimize graphics, work with vector and bitmap graphics, create image maps, and add graphical text to web-based images. You will also create GIFs and JPEGs using Fireworks' export tools.
