Vortex Data Systems Announces Expansion Plans for
San Diego Technical Training Facility
August 11, 1998, San Diego, CA – Vortex Data Systems,
San Diego’s premier provider of technical training for Microsoft and
Novell, announced that it is expanding its San Diego facility in order to
meet the increasing demand for trained technical staff. Vortex has entered
into a new 5 year lease with Fenton Western Properties. This will provide an
expanded base of training operations well into the next century. Bycor has
again been named as the contractor to provide the tenant improvements.
The new facilities not only include new larger classrooms, but also an
upgraded Internet Cafe and an outdoor patio deck for lunch and classroom
breaks.
According to Paul Christiansen, President and CEO of Vortex Data Systems,
growth year to year has been up 40%. "We have completely exhausted our
ability to meet the demand for technical training in our existing facility.
The expanded classroom facility will allow us to not only add additional
Novell and Microsoft classes, but also deliver entire new certification
training programs."
Vortex Data Systems recently added the certification of USWeb Learning
Certified Professional to its list of offerings. "USWeb Learning is
uniquely positioned to provide Internet Certifications to the IT
industry" said Catherine Bristol, Education Manager. "The
explosive growth in the Internet and web-based development, makes this
potentially the next hot certification for technology specialists."
Vortex is now 100% focused on technology education as the network
integration sector of the business was sold last year. "This focus
