October is Developers Month at Vortex Data Systems

San Diego, CA September 9, 2002 - Vortex Data Systems, San Diego's premier technical education center, announced today it is launching a Dev-Ed Initiative during the month of October, devoted to classes, events and special discounts on training for software application developers.

With the proliferation of e-Commerce sites and the introduction of new software development technologies that increase and enhance Internet connectivity, development has become a key focus of the IT Industry. According to Vortex CEO and Owner, Paul Christiansen, "Application Development is one of the few hot areas in Information Technology today. The technologies read like alphabet soup - .NET, XML, ADO, VB, SQL, C# etc., but these are the underlying technologies and driving forces for those applications that companies on the leading edge are using for their next generation solutions. We are at a critical time when there is quite literally a whole new paradigm emerging for how companies operate in an internet-enabled world."

Dubbed Octoberfest, Developer Days at Vortex will include special discounts on development classes, gifts, prizes and refreshments in keeping with the Octoberfest theme, and a party at the end of the month to cap the events.
